It is interesting to note that in reading the Qur'an the word Jerusalem does not ever appear,not once. Islam schlors point to the statement "city north" as a reference they teach means the city of Jerusalem. Islam holds that it is from this "northern city" that Mohammad mounted a white horse and rode it into heaven. In the Bible the word "Jerusalem" appears 814 times, by my count. This would seems to thoughtful people to question Islam's claim to any part of Jerusalem from a historical position.
